Nepal Parties Accused Former King of Inciting Violence also said gyanendra shah plotting against republic | ‘Former King Gyanendra Shah responsible for riots in Nepal’, political parties accused, said

Nepal parties accused gyanendra shah: Former Nepal King Gyanendra Shah is the main architect behind violent protests in the country this week. Shah was accused in an important meeting of pro -Republic political parties. The meeting was called by Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli.

According to local media reports, the parties accused the former king of weakening the constitution and conspiring to overthrow the federal democratic republic system. Home Minister Ramesh writer said that there is a consensus to unite among political parties to ensure protecting, national development and public security of the Constitution.

‘Anti -constitutional activity is not tolerated’

Addressing the press after the meeting, the author said, “No anti-constitutional activity will be tolerated. Despite disagreement on different issues between different parties, former PM Baburam Bhattarai, who is also the president of Nepal Samajwadi Party (NSP), suggested that he should be united to counter anti-Republic activities in support of Shah.”

‘The incident was encouraged’

Talking to the press, Bhattarai said, “Gyanendra Shah has been behaving like this for a long time, as he is still kings. Political parties and government have ignored it in a heartfelt ignoring. However, the incident of March 28 was encouraged on their behalf and it was a criminal act. His actions have now crossed the limit. So I have proposed in the all -round meeting that they should face legal action.”

Both parties are considered anti -republic forces

Meanwhile, the fourth and fifth largest parties in Parliament, National Swatantra Party (RSP) and the National Democracy Party (RPP) were excluded from the all -party meeting on Sunday (March 30, 2025). According to Nepal’s leading daily Kathmandu Post, both parties are considered anti -Republic forces.

Demand for restoration of monarchy

On Friday (March 31, 2025), tension increased in some areas of the capital Kathmandu, as two people were killed and hundreds of people were injured in violent clashes between security personnel and pro -monarchy protesters. These people were demanding the restoration of the expired monarchy in Nepal.
