Another scandal in Mathura

Mathura police officials said on Monday that a truck associated with the mining mafia tried to crush the officers in the Naujheel area. The incident occurred when he tried to stop him. According to officials, the truck broke the barricade and ran towards Aligarh.

He said that the incident took place late on Saturday night, after which the Regional Mining Inspector lodged an FIR at the Naujheel police station on Sunday night. Police said that efforts are on to identify truck owners and people associated with illegal mining.

According to officials, Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Mant Abhinav J Jain, Regional Mining Inspector Akshay Kumar and Kolahar Police Outpost in-charge Sanjay Kumar along with police team were investigating vehicles between Chhinpai and Kolahar Chowki under the anti-mining campaign. Superintendent of Police (Rural) Trigun Bisen said that when he tried to stop three trucks carrying illegally mined ballast and gravel, the drivers allegedly tried to crush them and fled towards Aligarh. He said that on receiving information about illegal mining activities, the officials raided on Saturday, after which the incident happened.

Station in -charge (SHO) Shailendra Singh said that two trucks carrying illegal mining material were later seized from the Naujheel bus stand, although the driver managed to escape. The SHO said that an FIR has been registered against five truck drivers, three car drivers and two unidentified persons under the relevant sections of the Code of India.

District Magistrate Chandraprakash Singh warned that strict action will be taken against those who try to harm illegal mining and officials. He said, “No guilty will be spared.”
