West Bengal News: A terrible explosion occurred in the Patharpratima III’s enclosure located in Raipur Dholhat police station area of South 24 Parganas district of West Bengal. This incident happened when people were making firecrackers in a room for Basanti Puja. The entire house caught fire after the explosion. Seven people died and many others were seriously injured. The incident took place at around 9:30 pm on Monday night.

Local MLA Sameer Kumar Jana said that after the explosion, the fire spread so fast that the entire house was engulfed. According to preliminary information, when the explosion occurred, some people were inside the house and were engulfed in flames. Two people died on the spot, while some more people were trapped inside. A large number of police forces have been deployed at the scene and rescue operations are going on fast.
