Waqf amendment bill: Union Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju introduced the Waqf Amendment Bill in the Lok Sabha on Wednesday (April 2, 2025). During the discussion on the Waqf Bill, the opposition parties targeted the BJP fiercely. Muslim organizations are also expressing displeasure over the Waqf Bill. On this, a big statement of Maulana Siraj Khan, President of Jamiat Ulema -e -Hind Mumbai, has come out.
Talking to a news channel, Maulana Siraj Khan said, ‘The government formed the JPC committee regarding the Waqf Amendment Bill, but it had no meaning because the government did not listen to any one. There is a lot of work left for the progress of the country, but my question is why the government is putting out the points out about the stinging issue of Muslims. For example, the Modi government brought a triple divorce bill, there was no need in India. Now the government has fallen behind the property of Muslims’.
‘Ever since Narendra Modi became the Prime Minister of the country, the country is under threat’
Siraj Khan said, ‘Why is PM Modi behind Muslims, is he not the Prime Minister of Muslims, the government does not want to talk to us, what the government wants is out of my understanding’. In response to a question, he said that will I make me a trustee of Ramjanmabhoomi Trust in Ayodhya. Everything was going on in India from independence to 2014, everything was going well. Ever since Narendra Modi became the Prime Minister of the country, the country has come under threat.
Warning the Modi government, Maulana Siraj Khan said, ‘Government should listen to one thing carefully, we are not afraid of going to jail. If the government intervents in any of our cases, then we will populate jails. We are ready to do everything for our freedom ‘.
‘Muslims cannot tolerate any kind of interference within religion’
Siraj Khan said, ‘Muslims can tolerate everything but cannot tolerate any kind of intervention inside religion. Our prophet has told the way to live, we try to live accordingly. Like Shaheen Bagh in Delhi, a sit -in demonstration will be held across the country. In Maharashtra too, there will be agitation like Shaheen Bagh ‘.
