The Punjab government has sent a report to the Public Service Commission regarding the custodial interview of gangster Lawrence Bishnoi. Which he has accepted. The report demanded the dismissal of Punjab Police DSP Gursher Singh and action against him.

The state government had filed an affidavit in the High Court saying that the work of dismissing Gursher Singh has started. In the Lawrence Interview case, the High Court had also objected to the action taken against lower officials and reprimanded the state government.

The High Court had asked why action was not taken against higher officials. Why was action taken only against lower level officials? Lawrence said in his interview that the jail guards rarely come and go at night, that is why he is calling at night.
