Acharya Kishore Kunal, secretary of the Mahavir Temple Trust and one of the founders of the Ayodhya Temple Trust, passed away on Sunday morning. He was 74 years old. This morning he suffered cardiac arrest. After that he was immediately taken to Mahavir Vatsalya Hospital, where he could not be saved.

The last journey of Acharya Kishore Kunal will start from his residence at 9 am on Monday. From home via Mahavir Vatsalya Hospital, it will be kept in Mahavir Temple for last darshan. His last rites will be performed at Konhara Ghat in Hajipur.

When VP Singh was in power in the country, Acharya Kishore Kunal was appointed by the Central Government as a special officer to mediate between the Vishwa Hindu Parishad and the Babri Masjid Action Committee.

Former IPS Kishore Kunal was also a close associate of Bihar government minister Ashok Choudhary. Ashok Chaudhary’s daughter Shambhavi is married to Kishore Kunal’s son Sayan Kunal.

Deputy CM Samrat Chaudhary, BJP state president Dilip Jaiswal, JDU spokesperson Neeraj Kumar have expressed grief over the death of Kishore Kunal.

Mahavir was the secretary of the temple trust.

Acharya Kishore Kunal was also the Chairman of Bihar State Religious Trust Board and Secretary of the famous Mahavir Temple Trust of Patna.

Mahavir Mandir Trust Board operates several schools and cancer hospitals in Patna. Acharya Kishore Kunal also established a famous school like Gyan Niketan in the capital Patna.

Many leaders including CM Nitish, Deputy CM expressed grief

Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has expressed grief over the demise of Kishore Kunal. In his condolence message, the Chief Minister said that Acharya Kishore Kunal was an efficient administrator and sensitive officer. While holding the post of Secretary of Mahavir Temple Trust Committee, he did social and religious work well. He fulfilled his responsibilities while holding the post of Chairman of Bihar State Religious Trust Board. His demise has caused irreparable loss in the administrative, social and religious fields.

Kishore Kunal had made many revelations in his book Daman Takshaks. Referring to the famous Bobby massacre in Bihar, Kishore Kunal had written in his book that even the buried dead body was taken out and investigated. He did not get anything for 15 days and so he came and sat in the Mahavir Temple in Patna, but in the next 3 days he was successful in this incident but the investigation was handed over to CBI. Kishore Kunal writes that in this case, many white-collared people were afraid that their character would be exposed among the public, hence 40 MLAs and ministers together got the case investigated by the CBI.
