The new time table of Indian Railways will now come into effect from January 1, 2025. Under this, the timing of many trains will be changed. Besides, the number of many trains will also change.

Earlier this change used to happen every year on 30th June and came into effect from 1st July. But this time Railways is changing the time table on the occasion of New Year. This is the 44th edition of ‘Trains at a Glance’ (TAG).

The Railway Ministry is planning to launch the Namo Bharat Rapid Rail (Vande Metro), two Amrit Bharat Express trains and all 136 Vande Bharat Express trains in 2025.

64 Vande Bharat trains started in 2024. A total of 136 Vande Bharat train services are running on the Indian Railways network as of 26 December 2024.

Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav says that efforts will be made to equip the Railways with Artificial Intelligence (AI) in 2025.

13 thousand trains will run in Mahakumbh According to Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav, 13,000 trains will be operated for Mahakumbh, which will include 3,000 special fair trains. It is estimated that 45 crore devotees will participate in this Mahakumbh, out of which about 10 crore will travel by train.

Indian Railways is also making arrangements for the stay of 1 lakh passengers during Mahakumbh. For this, IRCTC has built a luxury tent city, Mahakumbh Gram, near Triveni Sangam. Online booking for stay at Mahakumbh Gram is now open from January 10 to February 28. Booking can be done easily by visiting IRCTC website.

What is ‘Trance at a Glance’ (TAG)?

Trains at a Glance (TAG) contains information about Indian Railways trains. In this, many information including trains running between two stations, timings and fares are available. As;-

  • Route map and station index.
  • Information about trains running between major stations.
  • List of train numbers and names.
  • Information related to reservations, Tatkal scheme, refund policy, and discounts on tickets.
  • This time table helps travelers to plan their journey better.

Timings of 15 trains changed from Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh

Timing of 130 trains will change from Bilaspur zone
