2. CM Biren Singh said on Manipur violence – People of the state forgive me, we have to learn from mistakes.
Manipur CM Biren Singh apologized for the violence and deaths in the state. He said, ‘I want to apologize to the people of the state for whatever is happening from May 3, 2023 till today. Many people lost their loved ones. Many people left their homes. I really sorry.’
600 days of ethnic conflict, more than 200 deaths: Violence continues between the Kuki-Meitei community in Manipur since 3 May 2023. More than 200 people have died in this. - WhatsApp will not work on Android 4.4 KitKat and earlier versions.
- Telecom companies are going to launch Voice + SMS pack. The new pack will be cheaper for users who do not want data.
- UPI payment of Rs 10,000 can be made through feature phones. Earlier this limit was 5 thousand.
- The date for filing income tax returns has been extended till January 15.
- Pensioners will be able to withdraw pension from any bank in the country without additional verification.
- Farmers will get loan up to ₹ 2 lakh without guarantee. Earlier this limit was ₹ 1.6 lakh.
- Cars of Maruti, Hyundai, Tata, Kia and MG will be expensive. Prices of bikes and commercial vehicles will also increase by 2-3%.
- To control vehicle pollution, ‘Bharat Stage-7’ i.e. BS-7 will be implemented from April 1.
- No detention policy ends. Now failed students of 5th and 8th will not be promoted to the next class.
- Coaching centers will not be able to give admission to children below 16 years of age. Fine will be imposed on misleading advertising.
- You will be able to get a degree from a foreign university only after studying in India. Indian and foreign universities can start joint courses.
- 10% reservation for firefighters in CISF and BSF. There will also be relaxation in physical test and age limit.

4. 3 days time to get Dallewal admitted; Punjab government said- Dallewal is ready for talks
On 29 and 30 December, senior officers of Patiala Police had come to meet Dallewal. Dallewal talked to them, but refused to end the fast unto death.
The Supreme Court has given 3 days time to the Punjab government to admit farmer leader Jagjit Dallewal to the hospital. Dallewal is on fast unto death for 36 days with 13 demands including guarantee of MSP on all crops. The Punjab government told the court that a mediator has said that Dallewal is ready for talks if the farmer union intervenes.

5. President approves hanging of Indian nurse in Yemen; India said- providing all possible help
The President of Yemen has approved the death sentence given to Indian nurse Nimisha Priya, imprisoned in Yemen. Indian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal said that the government is providing all possible help in this matter. Nimisha from Kerala was accused of murdering Mahdi, a citizen of Yemen, in 2017.
What is the whole matter: In 2015, Nimisha started her own clinic in partnership with Mahdi in Sanaa, the capital of Yemen. It is alleged that Mahdi had taken possession of Nimisha’s passport and used to torture her. In July 2017, Nimisha gave an anesthetic injection to Mahdi. Although Mahdi was not affected, Nimisha then gave him an overdose, due to which he died. Nimisha will be punished within a month. Read the full news here…

Plotted his death for Rs. 1.25 crore insurance
The burnt car was found on December 27 near Dhanpura village in Banaskantha district.
A burnt body was found in a burnt car 5 days ago in Banaskantha, Gujarat. Police investigation revealed that a person from the village had planned his death to get the insurance amount of Rs 1.26 crore. The accused took out the body from the crematorium and burnt it along with the car. He also absconded after passing insurance worth Rs 1.26 crore. Read the full news…
