The year 2025 has started and on the first day of New Year 2025, the movement of the share market has been seen changing in the first session. After opening in the green zone, Sensex suddenly reached the red zone. Bombay Stock Exchange’s 30-share Sensex was seen trading at the level of 78,240 with a gain of 100 points in the initial trade, then within a few minutes it fell and was seen trading at the level of 78,053. The movement of Nifty also seemed to be changing.
Sensex slipped after a strong start
On Wednesday, the first day of the year, the stock market started on the green mark with gains. BSE Sensex climbed from its previous closing level of 78,139.01 and opened at the level of 78,265.07 and jumped up to 78,272.98, but then suddenly this rise turned into a decline and the Sensex fell by around 80 points to the level of 78,053.39.
Nifty also showed changing movements
Like the Sensex, the movement of NSE Nifty was also visible and after the initial rise, it suddenly reached the red zone. However, this index of the National Stock Exchange opened marginally lower at 23,637.65 compared to its previous closing of 23,644.80, but after that it gained momentum and jumped to the level of 23,683.60. After this it also declined and it was seen slipping and trading at the level of 23,607.05.
1771 stocks made a strong start
When trading started in the stock market on Wednesday, shares of 1771 companies made a strong start, while shares of 715 companies opened in the red with a decline. There was no change of any kind in the position of 94 shares. In early trade, shares of Apollo Hospitals, Sun Pharma, Asian Paints, Adani Enterprises, TCS opened with strong gains, while shares of Bajaj Auto, Hindalco Industries, Adani Ports, JSW Steel and Eicher Motors opened in the red.
These 10 stocks are at the forefront
Talking about the stocks that were running the most amid the fluctuations in the stock market, Asian Paints Share, included in the large cap category of BSE, was trading at Rs 2302.50 with a rise of about 1 percent. Apart from this, SJVN Share (5.65%), GoDigit Share (5.11%), AWL Share (4.16%), Castrol India Share (4%) included in midcap were trading up.
Apart from these shares, IREDA Share (3.45%), Suzlon Share (2.54%) were seen trading with gains. Among smallcap category companies, STAR Share (11.38%), DCAL Share (8.07%) and BMW Share (6.96%) were trading with gains.
