The next day of the Pahalgam attack, i.e. on 23 April, a meeting of CCS was held. Apart from Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, Home Minister Amit Shah, Foreign Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar and Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman are there. According to the information, there has been a discussion about the security of Jammu and Kashmir in CCS and what kind of response should be done by India after Pahalgam Terror Attack has also been discussed.
The last time CCPA meeting was held before Balakot Aircrafts
After this, a meeting of CCPA i.e. Cabinet Committee on Political Affairs took place. This meeting took place at 11.20 am. CCPA is also called a super cabinet, as it consists of the top minister of union cabinet. You will be surprised to know that the last time CCPA was found in 2019, when there was a Pulwama attack on India and after the meeting of this CCPA, there was Balakot Aircrafts. And now CCPA is getting after Pahalgam attack. So should it be assumed that the action plan on Pakistan is ready and now just waiting to be implemented?
The third meeting was held by CCEA i.e. Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs. Although decisions have been taken to improve the economic conditions of the country in this meeting, but the meaning of this meeting after the Pahalgam attack is quite different. In this too, there are all the top ministers of the cabinet- the Prime Minister, Finance Minister, Defense Minister, Home Minister, Foreign Minister, besides Agriculture Minister, Road Transport Minister, Commerce Minister, Heavy Industry Minister, Minister of Education.
Government restructured NSAB
And after this, there was a meeting of the Modi cabinet in the afternoon at 12:30 pm. These meetings are also held on normal days, but in view of the Pahalgam attack, all these meetings become very important. After this, the Prime Minister went to his office in South Block and he also held an important meeting in the war room there. Apart from this, Home Minister Amit Shah also held an important meeting on the Indus Water Agreement. And a big decision from the government also took place on this day.
Actually, the government has restructured the National Security Advisory Board. The NSAB consists of security experts outside the government. These are the advisory board of 7 members, which includes retired officers associated with Army and Civil Service. Former RAW Chief Alok Joshi will be the chairman of NSAB. The rest of its members include former Western Air Commander Air Marchan PM Sinha, former Southern Army Commander Lt Gen AK Singh, Rare Admiral Monty Khanna of Military Services, Retired IPS Officer Rajiv Ranjan Verma and Manmohan Singh former IFS Officer B Venketsh Verma.
All these decisions are telling that the government wants to fix everything in terms of security before taking any steps against Pakistan. And looking at these new meetings and decisions, it is also understood that soon Pakistan is going to get a very strong answer.
