Kashmir terror attack: After the terrorist attack in Pahalgam in Jammu and Kashmir, India is now being attacked by another front which is being called a cyber warfare. The Maharashtra Cyber Cell has prepared a report called Ecos of Pahalgam, which has revealed that there have been about 1 million cyber attacks on the country since April 23.
Maharashtra Cyber Chief Yashasvi Yadav told ABP News that cyber attacks in India have increased rapidly after the Pahalgam attack. This is not only a digital attack, but an organized cyber war.
Cyber attacks being done from Pakistan, Middle East, Morocco and Indonesia
The report states that these attacks are being carried out from Pakistan, Middle East, Morocco and Indonesia. All these are cyber organizations calling themselves Islamic groups. The most active group is Team Insane Pk which is a Pakistani APT (Advanced Persistent Threat) group. It targeted Army College of Nursing, Sainik Welfare and many Army Public School websites.
Big threat on railway, banking and government portals
These attacks include website Defense, CMS Explosion, and Command and Control Attacks. Apart from this, Bangladeshi Group Mysterious Team Bangladesh (MTBD) and Indonesian Group Indo Hax Sec are also active, which have targeted Indian telecom data and local admin panels. All these attacks have been launched from 26 April and many of these attacks have also been successful. Maharashtra Cyber has prevented some Attacks, but reports that India’s critical infrastructure, such as railway, banking and government portals, is under threat.
Indian Telecom’s Terabyte Data leaked on Dark Web
The report has also revealed that cyber security is weak in many places, due to which the attacks were successful. The terabyte data of Indian telecom has been leaked on the dark web, which raises a big question on the country’s security system. He further stated that we have appealed to the agencies to make their cyber security strengthened, make red team assessment, DDOS failure test, and system audits mandatory.
