The ‘Insta Queen’ women constable Amandeep Kaur, arrested in the heroin smuggling case in Bathinda, Punjab, has finally got bail from the court. The police arrested him on 2 April with 17.71 grams of heroin. After the arrest, the case was in the news across the state.
Bathinda’s special court on NDPS cases granted bail to Amandeep on a personal bond of Rs 50,000 on Thursday. His lawyer Vishwadeep Singh argued in the court that Amandeep had been implicated and no drug was recovered from him.

The lawyer said that the police could not produce the challan on time, on the basis of which the court gave this decision. It is now likely that Amandeep Kaur Bathinda will be released from the Central Jail by Friday.
Soon after the arrest, the DGP sacked Amandeep from service. During the investigation, relations with some of his police officers were also revealed, but no concrete evidence was revealed.
