Asaduddin Owaisi on Caste Census: The central government has recently decided to conduct caste census in the country. The opposition is patting the back on this decision of the Modi government. Asaduddin Owaisi while talking to the media on Friday (May 2, 2025) said that we are appealing to Prime Minister Narendra Modi that you call yourself the leader of the OBC. He raised the question and said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi beaten his chest and says that he is a backward caste leader, then why not bring a bill for reservation in Parliament?

AIMIM MP said that you break 50 percent reservation by bringing a bill. Owaisi raised the question and said that when will you start the census? Will this work be finished before the 2029 Lok Sabha elections? What did Rahul Gandhi and Akhilesh Yadav say?
Leader of Opposition and Congress MP Rahul Gandhi said that we have support to the government in designing the caste census. We have examples of Bihar and Telangana, in which there is a difference of ground-sky. The central government should explain the ways of caste census. Also said that the government should tell the date when caste census will happen.
Samajwadi Party supremo Akhilesh Yadav said that the decision of caste census is 90 percent of the PDA’s 100 percent win of solidarity. Due to the pressure of all of us, the government was forced to take this decision.
