Kumbh Mela 2025: Mahant Ramratan, Secretary of Shri Panchayati Niranjani Akhara, expressed his opinion regarding the royal bath in Mahakumbh. He said that the term “Shahi Snan” is now outdated and has been changed to “Amrit Snan”. They believe that the water of Ganga is sacred and like nectar and the term “Amrit Snan” is its true symbol. This sends a message of purity which shows the glory of Sanatan Dharma.
Mahant Ramratan supported the statement of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagwat. He said that we respect Mohan Bhagwat ji and there is no mistake in what he said. Mahant Ramratan also said that wherever temple symbols are found in mosques, we should respect them.
Mahant Ramratan’s opinion on the future of Sanatan Dharma
Mahant Ramratan said about the future of Sanatan Dharma that it can never be in danger. He believed that whenever there is a crisis in religion, some incarnation or the other is born. He described Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and Prime Minister Narendra Modi as capable leaders and said that Sanatan Dharma will always be safe under their leadership.
Mahant Ramratan’s opinion on Kumbh Mela and Muslims
On the participation of Muslims in the Kumbh Mela, Mahant Ramratan said that he has no problem with the common Muslims, but he has objections against the Muslims who spread filth in the fair areas. He said that action should be taken against such people and not against ordinary Muslims. At the same time, if Muslim government officials are performing their duty in Kumbh then there should be no restriction on them.
Sanctity of Ganga water and Kejriwal’s promises
Mahant Ramratan described the water of Ganga as nectar and said that sins are washed away by bathing in Ganga. He said that the water of Ganga is always suitable for bathing and it is an important part of Hindu religion. Apart from this, he termed Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’s promise of giving Rs 18,000 monthly to priests and priests as a political ploy and termed it false.
Mahant Ramratan’s reaction to the proposal of Hindu Rashtra in Kumbh
Regarding the proposal of Hindu Rashtra in Kumbh Mela, Mahant Ramratan said that there is no need for such a proposal. Considering it a part of politics, he said that the real identity of Hindu religion lies in its conduct and devotion. It should not be used for political gain.

Mahant Ramratan also reacted to the opposition’s rhetoric. He said that the job of the opposition is always to criticize the work of the government. Nevertheless, he made it clear that if Akhilesh Yadav wants to come to Kumbh, he will be welcomed because it is a religious event and all leaders are welcomed.
Mahant Ramratan’s strong criticism on violence
Mahant Ramratan strongly criticized the help given by Samajwadi Party to the families of those killed in Sambhal violence. He said that if Akhilesh Yadav had taken any such step for the Hindu community, it would have been out of vote bank politics. He alleged that Samajwadi Party stands only for Muslim votes, but remains silent when it comes to the Hindu community.
