40 -year -old Ramdin, who plays 71 Tests, 139 ODIs and 74 T20 internationals from the West Indies, feels that Adam Gilchrist has changed the criteria for wicketkeepers. He said, “Earlier wicketkeepers used to be only wicketkeepers but now cricket has developed a lot and the role of wicketkeeper batsman has also expanded.”

Ramdin further said, “It started with players like Adam Gilchrist, who also excelled in batting. Players like Quinton Dickock, Brendon McCullum and Mahendra Singh Dhoni brought the role of wicketkeeper to a new stage. ”
