An attempt has been made to reverse the Delhi-Saharanpur passenger train. Mischievous elements had placed an iron pipe of about 10 feet long on the railway track. Stones were also laid on the track. However, due to the understanding of the loco pilot, a big accident was averted. The incident is on Saturday night.
According to the information, train number 64021 was going from Delhi towards Shamli in UP. On the way, a planned conspiracy to derail him was hatched. When the train reached between Shamli and Balwa station at around 10:30 pm, pipes were found on the track. Stones were laid on the track. An iron pipe was 10 feet long. However, the pilot showed understanding and stopped the train, which saved a big incident.
Eyewitnesses said that the pilot had seen the pipe from a distance on the track. Applied emergency brakes on this. The train stood in the forest for a long time, causing the passengers to face inconvenience. It is seen in the video that stones are lying on the track and long pipes are also kept.
On receiving the information of the incident, RPF, GRP and Shamli Superintendent of Police Ramsevak Gautam, ASP Santosh Kumar Singh reached the spot along with the police force. The officers inspected the scene and also investigated the surrounding area.
Police investigation has revealed that these iron pipes were stolen from tube wells, which were later placed on the railway track. The entire matter is currently being investigated seriously.
Due to the vigilance of the loco pilot, not only a major accident was averted, but the lives of thousands of passengers traveling in the train were also saved.
