A surprising case has come to light from Surat in Gujarat, where a 23 -year -old tuition teacher drove away his 11 -year -old student and made physical relations with him. The police have arrested the teacher and registered a case against him under the Poxo Act.

The incident took place four days ago, when the 11 -year -old student’s father lodged a complaint with the Surat police that his son has disappeared with his 23 -year -old teacher. Both lived in the same society. The CCTV footage of the society revealed that the teacher had taken the student with her. After this, the police intensified the investigation and in three days, both were found from Shamlaji near the Gujarat-Rajasthan border. The teacher was immediately arrested.

In the police interrogation, the teacher told that the student used to come to him to study tuition. On one hand, while the student was scolded for studying at home, on the other hand the teacher’s family was also pressurizing for marriage. Fed up with this, both of them left Surat on 25 April.

According to the police, the tuition teacher took her student to Vadodara, Ahmedabad, Delhi and then Jaipur by bus. During this, both of them spent two nights in Jaipur in a hotel. In three days, both of them traveled more than 2000 kilometers and were returning to Surat, when the police caught them.

DCP Bhagirath Singh Garhvi said, “In the preliminary investigation, the teacher has confessed to having a physical relationship with the student. After this we have added a section of the Poxo Act along with the kidnapping. A case of physical abuse of an 11-year-old student has been registered. Apart from Poxo, Section 127 of the Indian Code of Justice has also been imposed. Both are being given medical examination, after which further action will be taken.”
