13 year old girl wanted to become an IAS officer, left the world in Mahakumbh to become a Sadhvi! – Teenager aspiring to be IAS officer renounces world to become sadhvi at Maha Kumbh lclnt

A 13-year-old girl from Agra, who dreams of becoming an IAS officer, expressed her desire to become a ‘Sadhvi’ in the Maha Kumbh Mela. Considering his wish as God’s wish, his parents handed him over to Juna Akhara. The girl’s mother Reema Singh told that during the Mahakumbh, she experienced detachment from worldly life.

Juna joins the Akhara
Reema, living in the camp of Juna Akhara, told the news agency, ‘Mahant Kaushal Giri Maharaj of Juna Akhara has been coming to our village for the last three years to organize Bhagwat Katha sessions. During one such session, my daughter Rakhi took Guru Diksha. Reema further told that Kaushal Giri Maharaj had invited her, her husband Sandeep Singh and their two daughters to serve in the Mahakumbh camp last month.

He said, ‘One day Rakhi expressed her desire to become a Sadhvi. Considering it to be God’s will, we did not raise any objection. The family, living in Agra, had rented a house in the city for the education of their daughters Rakhi and 8-year-old Nikki. Sandeep Singh does confectionery business.

‘Joined with her own will’
Reema said, ‘Rakhi’s dream was to become an IAS officer, but during the Mahakumbh, she experienced detachment from worldly life.’ Mahant Kaushal Giri told that the family voluntarily donated their daughter to the ashram. He said, ‘This decision was taken without any pressure. The family has been associated with us for some time and on their request Rakhi has been accepted into the ashram. Now she will be known as Gauri Giri.

When asked about her concerns about her daughter, Reema said, ‘As a mother, I will always be worried about where and how she is. Relatives often question why we handed over our daughter to the ashram. Our answer is that it was God’s will. A saint at the Akhara said Gauri’s ‘pinddaan’ (ritual for sacrifice) and other religious ceremonies will be conducted on January 19, after which she will be formally considered a part of the Guru’s family.
