Telangana aliya begum murder: A painful incident has come to light in Antarum village of Zahirabad, Telangana, where 15 -year -old Alia Begum tried to save her father Muhammad Ismail from the crowd attack, but was attacked with stones and killed her. Two accused have been arrested in this case.
According to the report of The Indian Express, the incident took place on 11 February when Muhammad Ismail was urinating near his house. There was a dispute with his neighbors Veera Reddy and Vijay Reddy about this. Soon the quarrel took a violent form and attacked Ismail by a mob of about 40 people.
Seeing his father being attacked, Alia Begum Beach came to rescue, but the attackers also threw stones at him. Due to which she was seriously injured and was admitted to the hospital. He died on 15 February 2025 after struggling for life for five days.
Alia was a promising student
Alia Begum studied at Urdu-Madhyam Zilla Parishad High School in Sangreddy district of Telangana. She was excited about her class 10 board examinations and was preparing to perform better than her elder brother Mohammad Mehboob. His higher education was an expectation for the family, but, luck kept something else for him. Unfortunately he was killed.
Police response
Superintendent of Police CH Rupesh called it a “unfortunate incident” and said that it was not a planned murder. He said, “This dispute happened on a minor matter. But the attackers were drunk and the situation became violent.” Police forces have been deployed to ensure that communal tension should not increase in the village.
Family response
Alia’s mother Shaheen B said, “We have always learned to be in harmony, but what happened to our daughter, we will never forgive her.” The family has denied any communal aspect in this incident and demanded severe punishment to the accused. Elder sister Hasina Anjum said, “Alia was expected to get a good job for the family, but now she is no longer with us.”
