Maruti Suzuki Navaratri Sales: It is the season of festivals and there is a lot of beauty in the market. In such a situation, the new GST structure, which came into force from September 22, has added even more temper. There has been a huge cut in the price of vehicles. The direct effect of which is being seen on car shopping. And Maruti Suzuki is at the forefront of selling the car. When GST was cut, the prices of vehicles came down. From above, the company threw such an offer that a large crowd of people had broken on showrooms.
After the onset of Navratri, more than 80 thousand Maruti cars have been sold so far. Not only this, about 80 thousand people are doing an interrogation (inquiry) about their new car every day. The crowd in the showroom is such that the dealers are delivering vehicles from 11–12 pm. On the first day of the implementation of GST, Maruti Suzuki broke the record of 35 years and delivered 25,000 cars in a day.
Now this series is moving further. Maruti Suzuki Senior Executive Officer (Sales and Marketing) Partho Banerjee told Business Today that the company has sold 80,000 vehicles so far since the beginning of Navratri. Whereas daily ankvery has increased to about 80,000. Banerjee said, “There is a huge crowd in our showroom. The channel partners are working till late night to deliver vehicles to our customers.”
EMI game … people buying cars leaving two -wheelers
Now read the company’s masterstroke. EMI starts from just Rs 1,999. That is, as many people buy bikes or scooters, now the car can come home. The company knows that there are two crores of consumers in India, who just need a little push. This magic of EMI is the same shock. Maruti Suzuki has launched a great EMI scheme to make cars affordable. Under which customers can buy a car by giving EMI of only 1,999 per month. Banerjee further said, “This has made it easier for a two -wheeler owners to upgrade to a four -wheeler.”
Sale of small cars is improving
Actually, the company has also given the reason for the fall of the sale of small car segment. The direct reason for this, the company has considered the burden on the pocket. Partho Banerjee said that, the decline in sales of small cars is mainly due to affordable challenges. He said, “Recently the repo rate cut has helped to make EMI more economical.” He further said that Maruti has reduced the prices of select entry-level models by 24%, which will remain in force till December 31, 2025.
Now when the repo rate reduced, EMI became cheaper, and Maruti reduced the price of entry-level cars by 24% (till 31 December 2025), it became a golden opportunity for customers. The popularity of small cars is increasing again, but the SUV is still in heavy demand. Banerjee said, “We are also watching good growth in the SUV segment.”
There is also a problem …!
The sales of cars are increasing, but the problem is that the supply line is facing pressure. Regarding the supply of cars, Banerjee said that meeting the increasing demand remains a challenge. He said, “The dispatch was stopped in the first 20 days of September and started again on 22 September. Many vehicles are still in transit and we are trying to deliver them as soon as possible.”
With the speed in the supply chain, the Maruti official has advised the customers to book their vehicles quickly to avoid the long waiting period. Overall, the story is that Maruti Suzuki is preparing to create new records of sales in this festive season. GST cuts, powerful EMI offers and price cuts have drawn the combo customers to the showroom.
