Security agencies suspected the way two passengers walk and other gestures.
A large smuggling attempt of gold at Surat International Airport in Gujarat was thwarted by security forces. On Sunday night, the Vigilance team of the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) stopped the suspicious activity of two passengers who landed from Dubai’s flight IX-174 from Surat IX-174.
After examining their belongings and body, about 28 kg of gold was recovered as a paste. According to information received from Surat Airport, this is the biggest gold consignment caught at Surat Airport.
Passengers reached Surat by flight in Dubai at around 10 pm.

CISF’s Vigilance Unit was engaged in security check in the international arrival area of the airport. After that CISF soldiers stopped both of them and they were searched in depth with the help of custom officials. During the investigation, it was found that the two passengers had hidden gold paste in different parts of the body with special technology, which was hidden through clothes and body belts.
The Custom Department is interrogating both passengers in custody.
23 kg pure gold found in 28 kg paste According to airport sources, the weight of gold recovered from both the accused is 28 kg. The Custom Department took the gold paste and sent it for testing.
