The second special flight of Mahan Air (W5071) on Saturday night at Delhi Airport, under the ongoing rescue operation “Operation Sindhu” from Iran’s war -affected area Mashhad, was on the ongoing rescue operation “Operation Sindhu”. This flight had more than 290 Indian students, out of which a large number were of students of Kashmir.
The Ministry of External Affairs informed that the flight reached Delhi at 11:30 pm. With this, a total of 1,117 Indian citizens have been brought safe from Iran so far. Foreign Ministry spokesman Randhir Jaiswal said that Operation Sindhu has now gained momentum and two more special flights are planned to come to Delhi on Sunday.

What did JK Student Association say?
The Jammu and Kashmir Students Association reacted to this successful rescue operation and said that this is a passionate moment for families who were eagerly waiting for their children’s safe return. The relatives have got deep relief and relaxation due to the students returning home.
The institution said that for the last few days, students were very scared and mentally tired. It was very difficult for him to live in a war -torn atmosphere. Their safe homecoming has now brought a big relief, especially for Kashmir where most of the students live.

Appeal to bring 700 Kashmiri students home
The association also thanked the Government of India, the Ministry of External Affairs and the Indian Embassy in Iran and said that they ensured a safe return of students with timely and efficient coordination. Along with this, the Jammu and Kashmir Students Association appealed that students who are still trapped in various parts of Iran, especially about 700 students of Kashmir, should be taken to safe places as soon as possible and brought home from there.
