That moment was the extreme point of Tension of Operation Sindoor. When the team of Group Captain Animesh Patni of Indian Air Force locked the AWACS of the Pakistani Air Force on the radar, they immediately understood how important it was to hit this target. AWACS means the ‘eye’ of Pakistani Air Force in the sky. After this, Animesh Patni’s team made a hunt from S-400 which was recorded in military history. The Indian Airforce launched the missile from S-400 from the Cardiance of Radar, Signal and killed the Pakistan Airforce (Airborne Early Warning and Control Aircraft) in the sky of Pakistan, 314 km from its location.
It was the longest distance successful hit in the sky to the sky. Air Chief Marshal AP Singh himself gave this information in Bangalore. For this success, the government honored Group Captain Animesh Patni with Vir Chakra. Veera Chakra is the third largest bravery award in India during the war.
This successful firepower show of the Indian Air Force caused a strong injury to Pakistan during Operation Sindoor and its ability to hit India was over. How did this happen? What is AWACS and what is its importance.
Understand AWACS
AWACS (Airborne Warning and Control System) is an advanced aerial surveillance and command system that acts as radar-based monitoring and control for an Air Force. It is installed on special aircraft, which monitors long distances air, sea and ground activities. Airborne Awacs means all these techniques are in a military aircraft which is moving in the sky.
AWACS contains powerful radar, communication equipment and data processing systems, which detect enemy aircraft, missiles and other threats. Its importance is in its real -time intelligence, command and control capacity. This helps the Air Force to take air war, mission cardination and strategic decisions. AWACS offers a 360-degree monitoring of the airspace, which helps fighter aircraft to guide, danger warnings and target settings. In this way, the AWACS which was locked by Group Captain Animesh Patni with the help of S-400 was monitoring other military assets including Indian Air Force ships.
Animesh Patni is the commander of S-400 Regiment
Group Captain Animesh Patni is the commander of the S-400 ‘Triumph’ Regiment during Operation Sindoor. This was an important responsibility in strategic terms.
A Pakistani SAAB CEAB CEAB CEAB CEAB CEAB CEAB CEAB ERI-200 AWACS for the Pakistani Air Force was flying in the sky of Dinga city of Pakistan. Dinga is located in Kharian tehsil of Gujarat district in Punjab province of Pakistan. It is situated between Jhelum and Chenab rivers.
This point is quite inside the Pakistani air border and is about 314 km from India’s air defense posts. The aircraft was working as a force multiplier for the Pakistani Air Force. These AWACS used to monitor and command in real time.
Patni’s team targeted this goal using the S-400 advance radar. According to sources, 40n6 missiles are probably tainted from S-400
Went. The missile, the fearless Pakistani air defense system, moved forward at a high speed and destroyed the target.
In this attack, Pakistan lost its most precious AWACS war aircraft, which is considered to be the eye and mind of the ability to fight the air war.
Explain that Air Chief Marshal AP Singh described it as “the largest surface -to -air attack” and praised the Indian Air Force’s magnificent technical power and the leadership of Group Commander Patni, the ability to decide, managing and strategic skills.
The President has praised two other officers’ wing commander Milind Londhe and Wing Commander Keshav Sharma for his roles. For this, the President has done them ‘Mention-in-Dispatch’. ‘Mention-in-dispatch’ is an honor given to the Indian armed forces for displaying extraordinary valor or appreciative service.
Significantly, during Operation Sindoor, Pakistan’s air defense system was destroyed by India. India’s aircraft, missiles and drones penetrated Pakistan’s air space and destroyed nine airbase of Pakistan.
This achievement of Group Captain Animesh Patni was not just a coincidence but the result of excellent planning and technical efficiency. Group Captain Patni commanded regiment carried out a completely accurate and decisive attack without making any mistake.
This same war not only destroyed an important aircraft of the enemy, but also gave a message to the world that India can make a decisive attack even from long distances.
