500 killed in Kumbh of 1954: Who was responsible for controlling the crowd in religious programs like Kumbh?

The reason for the stampede here is said to be provoking an elephant. After this, more than 200 people died in the Kumbh Mela held in Haridwar in 1986.

If you look at the data of the National Crime Bureau (NCRB), more than 3000 people have lost their lives in the stampede incidents in India from 1996 to 2022. According to some reports, hurry and fear sometimes become the cause of stampede. Sometimes a small incident becomes the cause of a big stampede. In 2008, due to the rumor of landslides in Naina Devi, Himachal Pradesh, there was fear in the crowd and people started running around.

The Central Government has said in Parliament that the state government, urban body and temple trust are responsible for handling the crowd at religious places. Many schemes have been run by the central government to handle the crowd in religious places. There are indigenous philosophy, prasad and many schemes. It has been told by the government that under the Prasad Yojana, CCTV, tweet have been made by the government to control the crowd. Many more measures have also been taken with this.

more than 54 crore people have taken a dip
In Mahakumbh, a large number of devotees are not taking the name of the arrival of a large number of devotees on normal days and till 6 pm on Monday, 1.23 Crores of devotees took a dip in the Ganges and Sangam. On Monday, Andhra Pradesh Human Resource Development Minister Nara Lokesh also took a bath with the family in the confluence.
