The tallest statue of Lord Shri Ram was unveiled in Canada on Sunday (August 3, 2025). This statue has been installed in a temple located in Greater Toronto Area (GTA). Thousands of devotees gathered on the occasion of the unveiling of this statue, including federal cabinet minister and opposition leaders in the House of Commons of Canada.
The 51 feet tall statue of Lord Rama has been installed in the premises of a Hindu Heritage Center located in the city of Mississaga. Those who attended the ceremony included Canadian Women and Sexual Equality Minister Rechi Waldage, Treasury Board President Shafkat Ali and International Trade Minister Maninder Sidhu.
Canadian minister addressed with Jai Shri Ram’s announcement
On the occasion of the unveiling ceremony of the statue, Canadian International Trade Minister Maninder Sidhu addressed the gathering with Jai Shri Ram’s announcement. He said that the installation of the biggest statue of Lord Rama in North America is a matter of pride and pride for us.
The ceremony was attended by MP and local politicians along with Andrew Sheer, an interim leader of the Conservative Party at the House of Commons in Canada. At the same time, acting Consul General Kapidhwaj Pratap Singh represented Toronto at this ceremony organized by the Government of India in North America.

With the unveiling in the temple of this statue, the project started four years ago, which was made possible with the donation of the Indo-Caidian businessman Laj Prasar. When the statue of Lord Rama was being unarmed, then flowers were rained on him.
The statue of Lord Rama, 51 feet high, will last for 100 years- Shastri
At the same time, Acharya Surinder Sharma Shastri, founder and chief priest of the Hindu Heritage Center, said, “Only this statue of Lord Ram is 51 feet high. While the base of this statue is separately seven feet high and in the future a umbrella (umbrella) will also be added to it, which is underway to get permission.”
He said, “This statue of Lord Rama is made up of fiberglass built in Delhi. Along with this, steel superstructure has also been used in its structure. This statue can last for 100 years and also face strong winds of 200 kilometers per hour.”
Inspiration was found from Ayodhya from the inauguration of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Temple- Shastri
The chief priest said, “The inspiration of this statue was found in January 2024 from the inauguration of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Temple in Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh. The installation of this statue is not just a matter of pride but it is a spiritual gift for the whole community, which inspires us to follow the path of religion.”
He said, “Although this statue has been built in India itself, the local artisans of Canada have added it here.”
