In fact, the Aam Aadmi Party is continuously campaigning against social media and road cuts, meanwhile Delhi Energy Minister Ashish Sood has released the data of long power cuts.
The Energy Minister said that in the last 10 years in the last Aam Aadmi Party government, the power cut took place 51958 times in Delhi for more than 5 hours in the last 10 years. That is, Delhi went on an average of 14 times daily in Delhi. Ashish Sood said that BSES, Rajdhani Power has given data for the last 10 years for more than 5 hours of electricity. Tata Power has also given information about the power cut.
According to the data, 7160 times in the year 2015, 8659 times in 2016, 7301 times in 2017, 6265 times in the year 2018, 5010 times in the year 2019, 3807 times in the year 2020, 3671 times in 2021, 269 times in 2021, 3486 times in 2022, 3486 times in 2023 and 3907 times in 2024, i.e. 3907 times in 2024 Was cut.
The Delhi government claims that the power cuts being cut are being caused by routine maintenance in view of the heat. It was also claimed by the Delhi government that the previous government was also troubled by the power cuts from private power companies.
The government cited a meeting on 23 May 2023. Many facts have been exposed in the minutes of that meeting, the power companies also told the Delhi government that three to four hours of long power cuts were also taken many times during the previous government.
He also informed that in the meeting of 23 June 2023, the then Energy Minister Atishi had also inquired from the power companies of Delhi that in which areas had gone to power for three to four hours in a row. Former Delhi Energy Minister Atishi had also sought information from BRPL regarding continuous power cuts in many areas like Freedom Fighter Colony, Saket, Alaknanda, Aya Nagar, Begumpur.
Delhi Energy Minister Ashish Sood said that Atishi is constantly misunderstanding the Pawar cut in Delhi. This is an exercise to confuse the public and spread fear among the people. He said that the Delhi government is committed to making major improvements in the electricity sector. In response to the allegations being made about the power cut of Atishi, he said that our government is preparing for legal action for his confusion. Various departments are also being consulted in this regard.
