50 tourist spots in Jammu and Kashmir were discontinued after the Pahalgam attack.

The Jammu and Kashmir administration has reopened seven tourist spots in the valley on Monday. These tourist spots were discontinued after the Pahalgam terror attack on 22 April. These tourist spots have been opened following the instructions of LG Manoj Sinha. The seven tourist spots that were reopened in the Kashmir division include Aru Valley, Rafting Point Yanar, Akkad Park, Padshahi Park and Command Post. LG closed about 50 tourist spots after a terrorist attack in Basaron in Pahalgam region on 22 April. In this attack, 26 people were shot dead by heavy weapons militants. The LG has already ordered the five tourist spots of Jammu division to open the stained top, Dhagar in Kathua and Salal in Reasi. In June, 16 tourist destinations including parts of Pahalgam were reopened.

Arughati is in Anantnag district. It is known for beautiful grasslands, lakes and mountains.

Rafting is done in the Lidar River near Pahalgam.
