New Delhi. In the second Test match against Sri Lanka, Bangladesh is under threat of innings defeat. He has lost 6 wickets for 115 runs in his second innings till the stump on the third day of the second Test. Bangladesh still has to score 96 runs to postpone the innings defeat and it has only 4 wickets left. In such a situation, the possibility of Bangladesh’s innings victory has increased, which needs only 4 wickets to win.
Earlier on Friday, Sri Lankan opener Pathum Nisanka was dismissed for 158 runs. He scored more than 150 runs in the second consecutive Test match. Nisanka and Kusal Mendis (84 runs, 87 balls) helped Sri Lanka to gain an edge by scoring fast. Sri Lanka started playing ahead of 290 runs for two wickets in the morning on the third day. He also batted excellent on the third day and finished his innings for 458 runs. Nisanka, who scored 187 runs in the first Test in Gaul, batted for more than six hours and scored 158 runs in 254 balls with 19 fours. Bangladesh’s left -arm spinner Taizul Islam took five wickets. The first Test was a draw between the two teams.
