Air india flights canceled: The operation of Air India has derailed since the plane crash held on Thursday (June 12, 2025) in Ahmedabad. On Tuesday (June 17), 7 flights from Dubai, London and America were canceled by 7 flights to Dubai, London and America, which has increased the troubles of passengers. Among the canceled flights, 6 Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner, which fell victim to an accident in Ahmedabad.
The flights from London to Amritsar and Air India from Bangalore to London were canceled. After the Ahmedabad plane crash, AI 171 was closed by AI 171, after which its name was changed to AI 159.
Passengers had to land in Kolkata due to flight malfunction
Air India flight from Indira Gandhi International Airport in Delhi to Paris was also canceled on Tuesday, as there was some problem in the aircraft during the investigation before the flight. Apart from this, the engine of Air India, going from San Francisco to Mumbai, also caused technical fault in the engine, due to which the passengers had to get off the aircraft in Kolkata on Tuesday.

How many flights were canceled in 3 years?
The cancellation of Air India flight is not new. In the Rajya Sabha, on 25 November 2024, the government was given data for cancellation of flights from 2022 to 2024. According to government data, 122 of the 87191 of Air India in 2022 were canceled after a technical fault.
In 2023, 181 of 105999 flights were canceled after a technical fault. Out of 110351 flights in the year 2024, 107 flights were also canceled for this reason. In 2024 itself, 936 of Indigo’s 492746, 305 of Spice Jet’s 35208 and 41 of Akasa Air’s 33204 flights were canceled due to technical fault.
