Pakistan Cricket Board has reduced the match fees of cricketers from Rs 1 lakh per match to 10 thousand per match in the upcoming National T20 Championship. Reserve players will get 5 thousand rupees per match. This tournament starts from March 14. Not only this, the board is also considering reducing the expenditure on the development of domestic cricket. The players’ concern has increased due to the reduction in match fees.

PCB’s domestic cricket chief Abdullah Khurram Niazi is cutting the facilities of players. According to sources, the first players were held in five star and four star hotels. Now they are being offered cheap hotels. Air travel has also been reduced and fees have also been reduced.

Another source said that the dues of the previous season have not yet been made to the players and umpires. PCB has also not implemented annual pension hike for former Test cricketers, which is mandatory under the board’s policy. Keep in mind that PCB has spent about Rs 1.8 billion on upgrading the cricket stadiums of Lahore, Karachi and Rawalpindi before the Champions Trophy.

Ironically, where the match fees of the players are being reduced. At the same time, PCB officials are getting a monthly salary of lakhs of rupees. Also, PCB selectors and mentors of teams are being born thicker. Mentors Misbah ul Haq, Waqar Yunus, Shoaib Malik, Sarfaraz Ahmed and Saklen Mushtaq are being paid about Rs 50 lakh per month on a 2 -year contract.
