In Bhadohi district of Uttar Pradesh, two women died due to sudden change of weather and celestial lightning on Saturday, while three women were scorched. The accident occurred in two different villages of the district Samadha Khas and Hathia Dih when women were working in the fields.
According to the report of the news agency, according to Ram Sarikh Gautam, the police station officer of Aurai police station area, lightning fell on Sudhana Devi (55) working in the field in Samadha Khas village, killing her on the spot.
At the same time, Rita Devi (42) and her daughter Antima (18) working in the same field also got hit by lightning and severely scorched. The family immediately admitted him to the local community health center.
At the same time, 19 -year -old Sonam Saroj and his cousin 20 -year -old Sandhya Saroj also fell in Hathia Dih village. Sonam died on the spot in the accident, while the evening was scorched. He has also been admitted to the hospital for treatment.
The local police administration inspected the spot and contacted the victim families and assured them to provide all possible help. There is an atmosphere of mourning in the village and the villagers have demanded compensation from the administration to the families suffering from the disaster relief scheme.
Every year during the monsoon, there are frequent incidence of lightning in Bhadohi and surrounding districts, causing great loss of life and property. The Meteorological Department also issues warnings from time to time, but due to lack of awareness in rural areas, people do not adopt security measures during work in the fields.
