A woman died on Thursday night in a painful road accident in Kushinagar district of Uttar Pradesh. This accident happened when the woman was standing outside her house. Then a truck coming at a high speed went out to crush it. After the accident, the driver escaped from the spot along with the vehicle.
According to the report of the news agency, the deceased has been identified as Durgavati, who was a resident of Salemgarh locality in Kushinagar. After the accident, the family immediately rushed him to the hospital in critical condition, but during treatment, he died at around 3 am on Friday.
Durgavati’s husband Banarasi Yadav works daily wage laborers in Gujarat. The family and the locals are in deep shock as soon as the information of the incident is received. There is an atmosphere of mourning in the area.
The police, showing readiness in the case, have started investigating the CCTV cameras installed nearby. Officials say that the truck and driver are being identified with the help of footage and the accused will be arrested soon.
Local people allege that due to heavy vehicles passing at high speed in Salemgarh area, many accidents have happened before, but no concrete steps have been taken by the administration. People have demanded that speed breakers should be installed in the area and the movement of heavy vehicles should be controlled, so that such accidents can be avoided in future.
At present, the police has sent the body for postmortem and a case of driving and non -hilt has been registered against the truck driver.
