More than 250 gifts received by President Draupadi Murmu and former Presidents are being auctioned by Rashtrapati Bhavan. The official said on Tuesday that the gifts to be auctioned from Rashtrapati Bhavan include a sample of Rs 10,000 bank note and a two -way vintage clock.

The President’s Office is auctioning these items through a dedicated portal. The items bidding in the auction include a unique two and a half statue, traditional Mizo Tool Box, National Symbol Memorial and Statue of Unity’s model.

Auction will run till 31 August

The President’s Deputy Press Secretary Navika Gupta said, “The income from sales will be given in programs related to women, children and other objectives of empowerment. This will be converted to the symbols of respect and a means of influence in the society.” He said, “The second edition of the e-auction of the President’s gift collection is currently going on, which will end on 31 August.”

Gupta said, “Moving forward on the success of the first edition held in 2024, ‘E-Urpar 2025’ has presented more than 250 gifts. These gifts have been received by the President of India from dignitaries, students, entrepreneurs and citizens. The first edition auction saw every corner participation of the country.” He said, “These items, whether cultural heritage or diplomatic memento, are not only a symbol of goodwill, but also a symbol of unity, service and global prestige in India’s diversity.”

Bid for bank note of 10 thousand rupees

According to the list of goods, a sample of Rs 10,000 bank note was presented to former President Pranab Mukherjee in 2015. This is a replica of a rare Indian note of Rs 10,000, on which a picture of King George Shashtham. It said, “It was first released in 1935 and was re -released with Ashoka Pillar after independence in 1950.”
