In Bhind district of Madhya Pradesh, 5 people died tragically in a collision between a dumper and a pickup van. 12 others were injured in the accident. As soon as the information reached the spot, the police has started in relief and rescue work.
This is a case near Jawaharpura village on National Highway 719 of the countryside police station area. The incident occurred at around 5 am on Tuesday morning, when some people were returning from a wedding ceremony. Some of these people were sitting in the van and some were standing on the road, when suddenly a high speed dumper truck hit him and his vehicle.
SP Asit Yadav of Bhind district said that three people died on the spot, while two others later died. He told that the injured were taken to the district hospital.
Eyewitnesses said that angry locals blocked the road. The SP said that he along with other officials reached the spot to control the situation. After executing the incident, the dumper driver escaped from the spot.
On receiving the information, the police reached the district hospital with the help of an ambulance. While the bodies of the dead have been sent for postmortem. At the same time, the dumper who carried out the accident has taken possession of the crashed van from the road. Further action is going on in the case.
