A very sad and shocking case has come out from Lucknow. Where a woman wandering from rate to rate in the hope of justice finally committed suicide. A woman named Kavita Nishad jumped into the Gomti river near the Laxman Mela ground on Wednesday.
Kavita’s husband Mahesh Nishad worked as a domestic employee at the house of a retired judge Anil Srivastava. After Holi, the incident of theft of Rs 6.5 lakh from the judge’s house came to light, in which Mahesh was suspected.
A woman wandering from rate to rate commits suicide
Mahesh recorded a video and audio, describing himself as innocent and committed suicide under mental pressure. After Mahesh’s death, Kavita was constantly demanding justice. He wrote in the last message to the judge’s wife that “took the life of the husband, now take us too.” But no answer was received.
Police registered a case and started investigation
On Wednesday, Kavita also ended her life. Eyewitnesses saw him jumping into Gomti. An attempt was made to save but by then it was late. Two innocent children of this couple Shubhi and Aryan are now completely orphaned. Lucknow police has so far registered only general FIR. There has been no arrest, nor questioned by retired judge. Now the questions are arising whether the law will remain silent due to only influence and post. Will this family ever get justice?
