What happened in flight?
Hussain Mazumdar was going from Mumbai to Silchar via Kolkata. He was riding in IndiGo’s Flight 6E-138. During the flight, he had a panic attack and the airhostess was helping him. At the same time, a co -passenger Hafeezul Rahman slapped him. In the video, Hafizul Rahman is seen killing Majumdar and later says “he was harassing him”.
Detention and release of accused passenger
After the flight landed at Kolkata Airport, accused Hafeezul Rahman was handed over to the police. However, he was later released. At the same time, Majumdar also went out of the airport and then went missing.
Family was not aware of the incident
Majumdars work in a hotel in Mumbai and have taken flying from this route before. His family was not aware of this incident. On Friday, he arrived at Silchar Airport to pick him up, but he did not reach there. When he watched the viral video, he tried to contact, but got the phone switch off of Mazumdar.
Where did I get Majumdar?
On the complaint of the family, the police started investigation and found that they neither took Silchar’s flight on Friday nor did they go anywhere else from Kolkata on Saturday. Later, the police received information that he was at Barpeta railway station in Assam. They were recovered from there and are now being brought home. An official said that Majumdars looked mentally unwell.
