Aajtak Health Summit 2025: There was a special discussion on the health is wealth theme on the stage of this summit. In this, Health Minister of Uttarakhand, Dr. Dhan Singh Rawat and Madhya Pradesh’s Medical Education and Sports Minister Vishwas Sarang shared the initiative of their respective states. Both ministers believed that health and sports are complementary to each other and today’s younger generation should pay attention to sports along with fitness.

I walk 10 kilometers daily: Dhan Singh Rawat

Dhan Singh Rawat also shared his fitness journey as soon as he came on stage. He said that I myself walk 10 km every day, because the leader should not just speak, should also show it. He informed that millions of people have benefited from Ayushman Yojana and Atal Ayushman Yojana in Uttarakhand. A health cover of 10 to 20 lakhs has been provided for the elderly. Different schemes are being run for free dialysis, cataract operation and maternity women.

Had to carry patients on foot to the operation theater

Dhan Singh Rawat said that health service is the biggest challenge in the hilly areas. There are many villages where there is no road. There the patient has to bring Dundi Kandi to the hospital. Now we have started the facility of ambulance and air ambulance. He said that medical infrastructure in the state is increasing rapidly. Of these, 8 medical colleges, new nursing colleges and doctors are being done at bond systems and PG at government expense.

Madhya Pradesh minister Vishwas Sarang said that old thinking was that if you play, you will be bad but now the time has changed. Now there is a saying, if you play, you will become wonderful. He informed that there are 11 Sports Academy in Madhya Pradesh today, where World Class Shooting Academy, Water Sports and Equestrian Center, Hockey is the nursery of Madhya Pradesh.

Here poor children are provided free training, coaching and living facilities. This is the reason that Madhya Pradesh has moved from number 17 to third place in sports today.

Vishwas Sarang said that paying attention to the right nutrition and lifestyle of children is the biggest responsibility of the parents. He said that the right and balanced diet, adequate sleep and physical activity eaten in childhood improve the health of children’s entire life. It is necessary to control problems like obesity, nutritional deficiency and screen time in children in childhood.

Vishwas Sarang said that Ayushman Yojana and free drug distribution in Madhya Pradesh have strengthened healthcare. Giving the example of Indore and Bhopal, he said that these cities have become not only clean but also healthy.
