Bollywood actor Bobby Deol has seen a very bad phase in his career. There was a time when he used to yearn for work. But now his car has come on track. They are doing back-to-back films. And it has helped him a lot from Prakash Jha’s ashram series.
Part-2 of the third season of the ashram series was announced. Where Bobby talked about playing a negative character. Also told that Prakash Jha believed him when everyone kept distance from him. Bobby also spoke on the reaction of father Dharmendra and brother Sunny Deol. He told what was his reaction on this negative role of Baba Nirala.
Mother praised by calling
Bobby said- We are actors and we play kind of characters. This is such a topic that on which you talk, it becomes controversial. As an actor, I was trying to do some different types of characters. I was not going to get the role of a hero. So when I accepted this show, I had not told anyone. I waited what the reaction would come. When the reaction came, I felt that I was dreaming.
My mother said that I am getting calls from my friends every day. She would say that your son has done such a cute job that we are enjoying a lot. Papa calls me and tells me that so many people are telling me how good you have done. I am very happy Bhaiya also said the same that so many of his friends called and said that let us talk to Bobby. So our job is to be an actor that we do good work and entertain the audience. I will give full credit to Prakash ji. They changed my life.
Was not work, wanted to change the image.
Bobby further said- all this happened only because of Prakash ji. I was going through the period when I was trying to find work. Was trying to change his image. By the way, opportunities were not very rare or coming. Then one day I got a call, and told about the ashram series that Prakash ji is directing. I met Prakash ji for the first time during the dubbing of secret film. It was only then I wished to work with you, but the matter could not be made.
Hidden from family
Bobby told that when Prakash narrated the story to him, he felt that he was offering him the role of a policeman. Prakash told him that you play Baba. So Bobby said that it is true whether or else my ears are listening to something else. I wondered how I would be able to do this? So Prakash said that you just go and start watching the video. I told only my wife Tanya at home. Papa-brother did not tell that he will say why you are doing this? The wife said that you do this, do what you like.
The first season of the ashram series was stream on MX player in 2020. In the series, many artists like Darshan Kumar, Tridha Chaudhary, Aditi Pohankar, Chandan Roy Sanyal, Esha Gupta have played important roles so far. Ashram 3 Part 2, from 27 February 2025, Amazon will be stream on MX Player.
