New Delhi. Not young opener Abhishek Sharma but spinner Varun Chakraborty has been nominated for the ICC Player of the Month Award for the month of January. Varun recently bowled brilliantly in the domestic T20 series against England while Abhishek had a century in the fifth T20 Rooted and made many records in his name. Yuvraj Singh trains the left -handed young batsman Abhishek Sharma. Chakravarti took 14 wickets in five matches at a brilliant average of 9.85 and the economy rate of 7.66.
Varun Chakravarthy made a significant contribution in winning T20 World Champion India 4–1. The England batsmen were struggling to understand his spin throughout the series. West Indies spinner Joler Warikan has also been nominated in the men’s category. He helped his team draw a two -match Test series against Pakistan. Left -arm spinner Warikan was elected the best player of the series against Pakistan. He was the best bowler of the series with 19 wickets.

Trisha was the highest run -scorer in the tournament with 309 runs. She also became the first player to score a century in this competition.
