US President Donald Trump faced two unexpected obstacles during his visit to the United Nations Headquarters on Tuesday. The first incident occurred when he and his wife Melania Trump climbed on the escalator, he suddenly stopped. The second incident occurred while addressing the United Nations General Assembly, when US President Donald Trump’s teleprompter deteriorated.
Donald Trump and Melania reached the UN headquarters with their hands, where they were to have a much awaited speech. First Lady Melania, wearing a white pantsuit, took photographs with President Trump at the request of photographers. Trump called the smiling photographers ‘thank you’ and then climbed on the escalator with his wife. However, the escalator suddenly stopped, causing both of them to stay in the middle.

Melania began to walk on the stalled escalator, while Trump was behind him. His colleagues and other officials started using stairs to avoid the situation. Another technical fault came to light as soon as Trump reached the stage of UN General Assembly. He had just started his address that the teleprompter stopped working. After this, Trump had to speak without a teleprompter.

Addressing the world leaders present in the UNGA, Trump said, “I have no objection to giving this speech without a teleprompter, because the teleprompter is not working.” Then he made fun of, ‘I can only say that whoever is running this teleprompter is in a lot of difficulty.’ Within a few minutes, he was seen reading printed notes. Trump said, “These are two things that I met from the United Nations Headquarters: a bad escalator and a bad teleprompter. Thank you very much.’
UN is unable to use its capacity: Trump
The US President in his address criticized the United Nations and said, “The UN has amazing ability, but he is unable to use it.” He accused the United Nations (UN) of ‘funding the attack on Western countries’ by migrants. He told the world leaders present in the United Nations General Assembly that his country is going towards hell. Addressing the United Nations General Assembly, Trump appealed to focus on the world powers for ensuring the release of the hostages caught by Hamas in Gaza about two years ago.
Trump again took credit for stopping Indo-Pak war
He reiterated the controversial claims on the achievements of his government’s foreign policy. Trump again took credit for stopping India and Pakistan war. He has repeatedly claimed this but has not given any evidence for this. India has been continuously dismissing Trump’s claims and said that there was no intervention of any third party in organizing a ceasefire with Pakistan. India has said that the DGMO of Pakistan had contacted its Indian counterpart on the hotline and requested for the ceasefire.
