22 April 2025 … In Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, terrorists killed 26 people. 16 people were injured in this attack. India reacted strongly to this attack. From Prime Minister Narendra Modi to Home Minister Amit Shah expressed India’s resolve to punish terrorists.
Prime Minister Modi reacted publicly for the first time on the occasion of National Panchayati Raj Day in Madhubani district of Bihar two days after the Pahalgam attack. He promised to give strict punishment to the attackers by citing zero tolerance policy against terrorism.
What did PM Modi say on the Pahalgam attack?
Prime Minister Modi had told the land of Bihar that in this terrorist attack someone has lost his son, who has lost his brother, someone has lost his spouse. Some of them used to speak Bangla, some used to speak Kannada, some were Marathi, some were Oriya, some were Gujarati, some were red from Bihar. Today, our sorrow is the same from Kargil to Kanyakumari on the death of all of them. Our resentment is the same. This attack has not only happened on unarmed tourists, but the enemies of the country have dared to attack the soul of India.
PM Modi had said that now the time has come to mix the remaining land of terrorists in the soil. The will of 140 crore Indians will now be broken by breaking the back of the bosses of terror. I want to say in very clear words, who have carried out this attack, those terrorists and those who plotted this attack will get a big punishment from their imagination. The punishment will remain together. Today I tell the whole world from the land of Bihar that India will identify every terrorist and their masters, find them and punish them. We will chase them to any corner of the earth.
This is Narendra Modi’s India!
Addressing a program in Delhi on Thursday, Union Home Minister Amit Shah said that today no one should understand that he has won this battle by killing our 27 people. I want to tell them that every person will get an answer and will be replied. Someone thinks by attacking a cowardly that it is our victory, then understand that it would have been changed. This is India of Narendra Modi.
Shah said that the Pahalgam attack will be selected. This is India of Narendra Modi. Today I want to remind this resolve again that our fight against terrorism will continue. Under the leadership of PM Narendra Modi, whether it is a leftist extremism or the issue of Kashmir, no one will be spared.
He said that will erase terrorism from inch-inch land. All the countries of the world mobilized against terrorism and stand with India. They will be punished until terrorism is over.
India’s tough action on Pakistan
Since the Pahalgam terror attack, India has been continuously taking tough decisions against Pakistan. The government on Wednesday decided to shut down aircraft for Pakistani aircraft. Earlier, on the very next day of the attack i.e. 23 April, a meeting of the Cabinet Committee related to security matters was held under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Many big decisions were taken against Pakistan in this meeting.
India first closed the Attari border check post to drive Pakistani citizens out of their land so that no Pakistani citizen could enter the country despite being an Indian visa. Along with this, it was decided to close the Indian embassy in Pakistan in the CCS meeting. Also, all the Pakistani political people present in India were ordered to leave the country within 48 hours and a tough decision was taken not to give India’s visa to Pakistanis.
Apart from this, the SAARC visa discount scheme given by India to Pakistan has also been stopped with immediate effect. Under this, now Pakistani citizens will not be allowed to come to India. The biggest decision that India had taken in this meeting was to suspend the Indus Water Agreement.
In such a situation, after the Pahalgam attack, India has not only taken tough action on Pakistan, but it has become clear from the statements of Prime Minister Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah that this time India is preparing to take big action against Pakistan.
