Rekha government has intensified the war against air pollution in the country’s capital Delhi. Today (Tuesday), a campaign of not providing diesel to 15 -year -old petrol and 10 year old diesel trains has started at fuel stations. The aim is to reduce the level of pollution in the capital due to old trains.
Banners have been installed at all fuel stations in Delhi, so that vehicle owners can be made aware of this campaign. It is written on these, ‘01.07.2025 ‘will not be given fuel to vehicles ending the period ie 15 year old petrol and 10 year old diesel vehicles! Delhi government as per order.
Cameras have also been installed at fuel stations, through which such vehicles can be identified which do not have to give petrol/diesel.
The law of not fueling old vehicles is currently implemented in Delhi only. Soon it will be implemented in NCR.

Aaj Tak correspondent Arvind Ojha has interacted with Special Commissioner Traffic Ajay Chaudhary. He said that on the instructions of the Supreme Court and the Air Quality Management Commission (CAQM), 15 -year -old petrol and 10 -year -old diesel vehicles are not being given fuel. For this, employees of MCD, Delhi Police and Transport Department have been deployed at fuel stations to ensure that it is being followed. Today 80 such trains have been seized, whose period was over.
How much will you have to pay for two-wheelers and four wheel vehicles?
In Delhi, the torso of such vehicles has been intensified, which is violating the new provision. If a four -wheeler is found violating the rules, then a fine of Rs 10,000 will be imposed on it. At the same time, if the two -wheelers violate the rules, then they will be fined Rs 5000.
According to vehicle transport, there are about 62 lakh vehicles in Delhi, whose age has been completed. These include 41 lakh two wheelers and 18 lakh four wheelers. This is only Delhi figure. If the NCR data is added, then the number of such vehicles will increase further.
