Some foreign media reports have claimed that the pilot deliberately shut down the fuel cut-off switch of the engine, causing the aircraft to crash, but Aviation expert Captain Ishan Khalid has completely rejected these speculation. He said that the mathematics behind these claims does not sit.
What was said in the AAIB report?
In fact, on June 12, the Dreamliner 787-8 aircraft of Air India going from Ahmedabad to London had a crashed, in which more than 260 people lost their lives. According to the initial report by the Aircraft Accident Investigation Bureau (AAIB), the aircraft found the maximum speed (180 notes) at 08:08:42 UTC and soon after that the fuel switches of the two engines moved to the cut-off by one second.
According to the report, when an engine fuel was cut, a pilot asked the other why he did so. The answer was that he did not. It is not clear from this whether the switches were deliberately closed or technical fault.
What did Captain Ishaan Khalid say?
Captain Ishaan Khalid told NDTV, “If both switches are off in a single second, it means that both would have closed both in 500 milliseconds. It is difficult to do so fast in the cockpeet.” He also said that if the second pilot really wanted to turn the engine, then why did he take 10 seconds?
The engine is feared to be shut down due to technical fault
Khalid believes that there was probably an electrical signal, which stopped the fuel supply. The pilots were later trying to start the engine again, but by then it was late.
Accident in 32 seconds, aircraft fell on medical college
The aircraft crashed into a medical college campus 32 seconds after the take-off. More than 260 people, including 241 passengers, died in the accident. The investigation of this accident is still going on.
