The country has the right to know the truth- Sanjay Raut

Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Raut said in a letter written on Sunday (August 10, 2025) that many MPs tried to contact Dhankar, but they failed and their employees could not get any contact. He alleged that according to rumors spread in Delhi, the Vice President has been confined to his residence and may be unsafe. Describing the situation shocking and disturbing, Raut questioned why there is no clarity about his situation or place and insisted that the country has the right to know the truth.

‘Consideration of filing habeas corpus petition’
Raut further stated that some Rajya Sabha members are considering going to the Supreme Court with a prisoner petition to know the well -being of Dhankhar. However, before adopting the legal path, he has sought an official response from the Home Minister. The Shiv Sena leader urged Shah to provide real information about the safety and health of the former Vice President and to stop speculation.
