Earthquake in Afghanistan: Earthquake tremors were felt on Saturday (August 2) in the Hindu Kush region of Afghanistan. According to the European Mediterranean Earthquake Science Center (EMSC), the intensity of the earthquake was measured 5.5. The center of the earthquake was located at a depth of 114 km (about 70.84 mi) from the ground. So far, information about the loss of any life and property has not been revealed.
The sequence of earthquakes in Afghanistan is not taking the name of stopping. According to the National Earthquake Science Center (NCS), earthquake tremors have been felt four times in the country within the last one week (1-7 days). The United Nations Office (UNOCHA) has expressed deep concern over this for the coordination of human affairs. The office said that Afghanistan remains highly sensitive to natural disasters such as earthquakes, seasonal floods and landslides.
