After making a disputed statement during the assembly session, Minister Prem Chandra Aggarwal in the Uttarakhand government has resigned from his post. Before leaving his post, he said that the atmosphere was created against him. He also became emotional during the press conference.
In a debate with opposition legislators during the budget session of the assembly in February, he said, “Is this state built for the hills?” This comment spread outrage in the state, and different organizations and political parties demanded their resignation.
Premchand Agarwal was the Minister of Finance and Parliamentary Affairs in the state government. After this dispute, he got emotional and said that the atmosphere has been created against him. Describing himself as the agitator of the state, he offered to resign. The state leadership of BJP has also summoned them to take restraint in statements and use proper vocabulary.
