Responding to the discussion on Operation Sindoor in the Rajya Sabha, Home Minister Amit Shah attacked Congress leader P. Chidambaram fiercely. Amit Shah said that as long as P. Chidambaram was the Home Minister of the country, terrorist Afzal Guru was not sentenced to death.
Home Minister Amit Shah said that Chidambaram was saying that what is the evidence of the terrorists who have carried out the attack in Pahalgam. He said that till P Chidambaram was the Home Minister, Afzal Guru was not hanged. Amit Shah said in the Rajya Sabha that the people of the country are watching the mindset of the Congress party. Their priority is not the security of the country, politics. Their priority is not to end terrorism, its vote bank. Their priority is not to protect our limits, to do politics of appeasement.
I want to ask, who wanted to save P. Chidambaram- Amit Shah
Union Home Minister Amit Shah, citing a statement given by Congress leader and former Home Minister P. Chidambaram two days ago, said, “The Congress leader demanded his resignation and questioned what evidence does the government have that the Pakistani terrorists who carried out the Pahalgam attack. I want to ask Chidambaram through this House, whom he wanted to save Chidambaram, who he wanted to save him, Pakistan, Laksh-e-Taiaba or terrorist. Shah said, “See what Mahadev does? The day he asked this question, the three terrorists involved in the Pahalgam terror attack were killed on the same day.”
Shah accused Congress of saving terrorists
He said that Chidambaram revealed the mindset of the Congress to the whole world. Shah alleged that the Congress is not afraid to defend Pakistan and Lashkar-e-Taiba to save its vote bank.
Jammu and Kashmir will be free from terrorism- Amit Shah
Union Home Minister Amit Shah said, “On Tuesday (July 29, 2025), AAP (Congress) was asking why they (terrorists of Pahalgam) were killed today? Why should they not have been killed yesterday? Because Rahul Gandhi should have been killed? Because Rahul Gandhi had to give his speech? It does not work. He said, “Standing in this House today, I promise that Jammu and Kashmir will be free from terrorism. This is the resolve of the Narendra Modi government.”
Nia And ED Eliminated the Ecosystem of Hurriyat from Jammu and Kashmir- Shah
Home Minister Amit Shah said, “The National Investigation Agency (NIA) and the Enforcement Directorate (ED) ended the Ecosystem of Hurriyat from Jammu and Kashmir.” He said, “Organizations like Jamaat-e-Islami were closed. Their ecosystem was closed. In the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government, many things were done for security in Jammu and Kashmir. Where earlier all the children and girls of Jammu and Kashmir used to stone pelting, there is peace today. There was no incident of stone after 2024. There was no stone pelting. There is no procurement but no longer killing.”
He said, “Earlier hundreds of citizens were killed in Jammu and Kashmir, no one is killed now. There is not a single strike in Kashmir in three years. The network of Terror Financing was terminated. Terror in Kashmir is towards its end.”
