A case of attacking a doctor with a knife has come to light at Lokhandwala Hospital in Dariyapur, Ahmedabad. The accused carried out this attack when the doctor advised to take the patient to another hospital due to lack of surgeon.

Dariyapur police say that Medical Officer Dr. Safwan Badi stays on duty from 8 am to 10 pm in Lokhandwala Hospital. At around 9:15 pm on Tuesday night, two unidentified men reached the hospital with a 30 -year -old injured patient. The doctor said that this police case can happen and surgeon is not present in the hospital, so the patient will have to be taken to another hospital.

Doctor attacked with a knife in hospital

On this matter, both the men got angry and started arguing with the hospital staff. When the doctor tried to calm them down, one of them took out the knife from the pocket of the pants and attacked the doctor Safwan Badi’s chest.

After the attack, the hospital staff immediately called 108 ambulances and took the doctor to the Civil Hospital in Ahmedabad, where he is undergoing treatment. The victim’s brother Dr. Abdul Rashid said that currently the doctor is admitted in the ICU and his condition is improving.

Injured doctor admitted to ICU

After this incident, the Dariyapur police arrested the three accused and registered a case against them under sections 118 (2), 115 (2), 296 (b), 54 of BNS and initiated legal action.
