Asaduddin Owaisi in Mahagathbandhan in Bihar: Asaduddin Owaisi, head of AIMIM and Lok Sabha MP from Hyderabad, has expressed his desire to join the state opposition grand alliance before the Bihar assembly elections on Sunday (June 29). He said that we want to prevent the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and National Democratic Alliance (NDA) government from joining the Grand Alliance and fighting together in the upcoming assembly elections.
However, Owaisi also said that he had tried to partner with the Grand Alliance even during the 2020 Bihar assembly elections, but the matter could not be made between AIMIM and the Grand Alliance.
We had talked for five years also- Asaduddin Owaisi
According to the Times of India report, AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi said, “Our party state president Akhtarul Iman has interacted with many leaders of the Grand Alliance and especially told him that we do not want to let BJP and NDA come to power again in Bihar.”
He said, “Now it depends on the parties of the Grand Alliance, which the NDA itself does not want to let the return of power to be returned. Five years ago I myself had talked about joining the Grand Alliance, but nothing came out.”
If it is not, then we will contest elections alone- Owaisi
Owaisi said, “This time also our state president is trying in this direction, but now everything is on them. We will contest elections from the outskirts of Seemanchal and Seemanchal in Bihar assembly elections. If they are not ready for it then I am ready to contest from everywhere.” He said, “Just wait for the right time, now it will be very hurry to tell how many seats we will contest.”
