Several major decisions were taken on Tuesday (19 August 2025) at the Union Cabinat meeting. The Modi government has announced to build a new airport at a cost of Rs 1507 crore in Kota -Dabondi of Rajasthan. Approval has been given to construct a six lane access-controlled ring road in Cuttack and Bhubaneswar in Odisha. 8,307 crore will be spent on this project.
Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnav said, “The cabinet has approved the development of the Green Field Airport in Rajasthan at an estimated cost of Rs 1,507 crore. The terminal building is spread over an area of 20,000 sqm with a 3200 meter long runway. It will have a capacity of 20 lakh passengers per year. 20 lakh passengers will be. There were 74 airports. In the last 11 years, this number has been more than doubled. Now 162 airports are active in India. “
Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnav said about the construction of the Kota-Bundi Greenfield Airport, “Kota is an industrial and education center. People associated with the education sector regularly come to Kota. The airport was being demanded for a long time. The airport was being demanded for a long time. The Union Cabinet has approved the construction of the 6-lane access-controlled capital region ring road (Bhubaneswar bypass-110.875 km) to be built at a cost of Rs 8,307.74 crore on Hybrid Annuity Mode (HAM) in Odisha. The Union Minister said, “It is proposed to develop this project as a 6-lane access-controlled greenfield highway. This will greatly benefit people living in Cuttack, Bhubaneswar and Khoradha city.”
